I hosted the press conference for the Team Woman Run at the Blue Water Day Spa in Ortigas, and met the Team Woman Run ambassadors Amanda and Leica Carpo and Bea Locsin. (Their fourth member, Cheska Carpo, was out of the country at the time.)

My good friend Katrina Vinluan is the PR and marketing manager for a fashion brand, ilana, and she tapped me to model their clothing on not just one, but two mainstream television features.

We shot the segment for QTV’s “The Beat” about a week earlier than our live guesting on “Shoptalk @ ANC”, which I can’t find a video of. Here’s an edited version of our segment on “The Beat”.

I hosted the Voters Education gig at SaGuijo organized by Soniclogo.tv. It featured indie bands such as Drip, Techy Romantics, Wagyu, and Beatbox Philippines as well as a demonstration of the Precinct Count Optical Scan machine by Gaye Cabalo of Smartmatic.

The event was sponsored by BagongBotante.ph, IbaNaNgayon.ph, Smartmatic, and COMELEC. It was a way to bring awareness of the new way to vote. Check out the websites to find out more.

I joined the Headshot Clinic Project OneYouth shoot sponsored by Globe Tattoo at Cava! in Somerset Hotel, Makati. Photography was by Niccolo Cosme of Project Headshot Clinic.

We had to decide what advocacy to support: poverty eradication, improvement of education, gender equality and women’s rights, maternal and child welfare, combating communicable diseases, and environmental sustainability. Our advocacies would appear in our headshots. I chose Education because I believe a lot of problems in society are caused by ignorance, lack of ability for independent and analytical thought, and improper civic socialization — all of which can be remedied by proper education.

This was my first ever location shoot: Jay Romero‘s “Rainy Day Glamor”  at La Mesa Ecopark on a rainy Saturday in August (weeks before Typhoon Ondoy hit). I brought my own clothes and styled myself, while Peechi Dadula did my make-up. Here are my favorite shots:
